Car Rental Terms & Conditions

These are our car rental terms. Please read them carefully and follow them.

Rental terms

1. Rental Duration

   We provide car rental for 12-hour and 24-hour durations.

2. Cancellation

   Cancellations made less than 1×24 hours before the rental time are charged the full 1-day rental of the vehicle type.

3. Data Verification

   We reserve the right to survey and verify the renter’s data and documents with the relevant authorities, banks, neighbours or workplace.

4. Documents and Deposit

   Prospective renters are asked to show their original identity card (KTP) and other original documents to verify the renter’s data. Renters must also pay a deposit of IDR 500,000 (for cars) or IDR 250,000 (for motorbikes) to the rental company. The deposit is refunded by bank transfer within a maximum of 1×24 hours after the vehicle is returned.

5. Insurance Liability

   Rented vehicles are not covered by all-risk insurance. Therefore, in the event of an accident, the renter is fully responsible.

6. Charges While the Vehicle Is in the Workshop

   If the vehicle is damaged and in the workshop, the renter must pay 75% of the rental rate until the vehicle is repaired.

7. Damage to Additional Equipment

   The renter will be charged for replacement if any additional equipment of the vehicle is damaged while in the renter’s use.

8. Delivery Charges

   There is no charge for handover at the rental office. Delivery to the airport costs IDR 100,000 if our staff use their own vehicle, and IDR 50,000 if our staff are dropped back at the office. Delivery to other locations outside the city is charged according to the distance from the Tunjung Transport office.

9. No Transfer of the Vehicle

   Renters are prohibited from transferring, lending, subletting, pawning or selling the vehicle to any party.

10. Payment Terms and Non-Refundability

    The renter agrees that all payments to the rental company, including the deposit, are non-refundable if the renter violates point 9 of this agreement.

11. Security Measures

    The rental company has the right to take security measures, including taking back the vehicle unilaterally, if it considers this necessary for security reasons to recover the vehicle. The renter releases the rental company from all legal claims related to such actions.

12. Personal Belongings

    Renters should always double-check for belongings left in the vehicle. The rental company is not responsible for the loss of items left behind.

13. Area of Use

    The vehicle may only be used on Lombok Island. Tunjung Transport prohibits renters from taking the vehicle off Lombok Island.

14. Fuel Return

    The renter must return the vehicle with the same fuel level as at the start.

15. Vehicle Cleanliness

    Renters are expected to return the vehicle clean. If the vehicle is returned dirty, a washing fee of IDR 50,000 will be charged.

16. Documentation and Copyright

    Renters are required to be photographed with the vehicle at handover. All photos and documentation belong to the rental company, and the renter does not object to them being published if the rental company needs to.

17. Replacement of Parts

    In the event of an accident, breakdown or other problem with the rented vehicle, the renter may not replace spare parts or vehicle equipment without the approval of Tunjung Transport.

How to pay

Payment is by bank transfer. We accept transfers via BRI, Mandiri, BCA, and Bank NTB Syariah, and from other banks too. International guests can pay by Visa or Mastercard card. We confirm availability and the total cost on WhatsApp before you pay.
